For the Omnimeter I v.3, we recommend up to 18 AWG wires go into the voltage reference terminal blocks. For the Omnimeter II v.3 UL, the Omnimeter Pulse v.4, and the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 UL you can use up to 12 AWG wire for voltage references. We also recommend that you install Inline Fuse Holders on the voltage reference lines.
Communications:
For connections to the RS-485 terminals we recommend using a twisted pair (22–26 AWG) wire from inside CAT5 or CAT6 cable.
Pulse Counting:
For connections between the pulse output water and gas meters, and pulse counters like the Omnimeter Pulse v.4, we recommend using a twisted pair (22–26 AWG) wire from inside CAT5 or CAT6 cable.
