One nice feature about the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 is that it provides the direction of current in real time. This allow us to calculate net Watts when the meter is installed in a net metering application. In these cases, if you have an Omnimeter Pulse v.4 and an EKM Push gateway, you can use the EKM Widget to display real time Net Watts, as well as a historical accounting of Net kWh.

To set up Net Watts in the Widget:

  1. Click the gear icon towards the lower right of the graph.
  2. Click the "Layouts/Fields" tab at the top of the settings window.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the "Line Graph Fields" listbox an select all four of the Net Watts values available. Note: all four Net Watts values must be selected for the area plot to display. If not it will default to a line graph.
  4. Click "Apply" when you are ready.

One thing to be aware of is that you are able to turn off/on individual plot lines, or area graphs, by clicking their color in the floating key.

To set up Net kWh in the Widget:
  1. Click the gear icon towards the lower right of the graph.
  2. Click the "Layouts/Fields" tab at the top of the settings window.
  3. Select "Net kWh" for the "Total Field".
  4. Set the "Net Metering Mode" to "Yes".

  6. Click "Apply" when you are ready.
