For the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 and Omnimeter HV v.5:

Max demand is a value that is stored in the meter itself, whether it is connected to the software or not.  You can access this data only via the software, however, and if you use the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 or the Omnimeter HV v.5 then you can set it to auto-reset.

Display #42 on the Omnimeter Pulse v.4 and Omnimeter HV v.5 is Max Demand. This value does not display by default. You can set up the meter via the software to display this by:

  1. Clicking the Meters icon
  2. Click "Edit Meter"
  3. Click "Advanced"
  4. Click the "LCD Values" tab

To set up Max Demand in the v.4 and v.5 Omnimeters:

You must be connected to the meter directly, either with the USB converter or iSerial (discontinued) and reading via the EKM Dash software - the EKM Push cannot access the settings of your meter and cannot be used for this purpose.

  1. In the Dash software select your Omnimeter, then click on the Meters icon
  2. Click "Edit Meter"
  3. Click "General"
  4. Here you can set your Demand Period and also set how often your demand period should automatically reset.
  5. Click "Set" when finished
  6. If prompted for a password, default is "0" (zero, without the quotes - if you change this we cannot retrieve it for you)
  7. Make sure that you also set the meter's internal clock to the local time of the meter by clicking the "Now" button at the top of the General settings: https://help.ekmmetering.com/support/solutions/articles/6000107129-how-to-adjust-the-meter-date-time
  8. Click "OK" when ready

To set up Max Demand in the v.3 Omnimeters:

You must be connected to the meter directly, either with the USB converter or iSerial and reading via the EKM Dash software - the EKM Push cannot access the settings of your meter and cannot be used for this purpose.  In order for the Max Demand to be reset in v.3 Omnimeters, the EKM Dash must be running at the scheduled time. This is different than with v.4 Omnimeters, which keep the scheduled time internally.
